Normally, when you install new software, the software will automatically create one shortcut icon on the desktop. Install more software, more shortcut is created on the desktop.

Not only that, there are not many people have the habit of downloading files from the internet and store them on your desktop, or copy the data stored on the desktop and to facilitate the use of the latter.

However, this makes the desktop becomes cluttered and strewn with symbols, which become very messy and difficult to manage.  Fences is the solution to this problem. This application allows you to group your desktop icons into groups corresponding to each other.

In other words, the software will create "barriers" to divide the area on the desktop, with every area you contain a group of inter-related symbols, such as icons group of files, folders or icon shortcuts group of software ...

This makes the desktop becomes more organized, and finding data on your desktop easier and faster.

Does the heavy lifting for you: You can choose the Advanced option to set up your Fences, but less experienced users can opt for an easier approach, which creates three default Fences, Programs Folders, and Files & Documents, and places your desktop icons in the appropriate location. The only icon that doesn't move into a Fence is the Recycle Bin.

Easy to set up and manage: It's easy to drag and drop icons from one Fence to another and only a couple clicks to rename a Fence or create a new one. You can even designate a default fence, so all new icons will be placed there automatically.

Email required: You can't start Fences until you submit a valid email and click the link in the activation email the publisher sends you. It didn't take long, but we prefer the option of trying the product before offering up personal information.

Once downloaded and installed, the first time use, a dialog box appears, allowing you to set up initially to use the software.

 

To use the software is simple, click on the option Start using Fences  from the dialog box that appears.

 

In the next dialog box, make 2 software setup options:

Just Create a couple Fences: the software will create two empty area on the desktop. From there, allowing users to drag and drop each icon on the desktop in each region to manage its desired.

 

 

With options Sort out my icons , the software will create a lot of different areas and automatically sort the icons on your desktop into separate groups are related to each other, including the group of programs icon (Programs ), the symbol of the recently opened files on the desktop ( recent things ), group folders on the desktop ( folders ), group of files ( files ), the group's website shortcuts on your desktop ( web Links ) and groups of the system icons ( Quick Links ). 

 

For greater convenience in managing, you can right-click the icon group, select Rename Fence , from the dialog box appears, a new name for the group of icons that suit themselves.

 

To erase a group of icons on your desktop, right-click the group and select Remove Fence . When deleting a group, the symbols and data within the group can be kept on the desktop, but will not be displayed within a group as before, but will be on the outside like a normal desktop.

The icon will be located outside the desktop after 1 team erased.

 

You can also use the mouse to drag and drop, move the icons from one group to another with ease.

 

To create a new group to the icons, you keep right, drag and zoning symbols like to create groups (probably icons that come preinstalled in another group), then release the mouse and click on the option select Create new Fences from nh?ng icons. 

 

This allows you to create many different groups, for easy management of data on the desktop, such as groups of text file, image file groups, media ...

 

A dialog box appears, allowing you to name the new group. After clicking OK , the new group will be set up to appear on the desktop, including icons that you selected above. 

To change the settings of the software, right-click the desktop, select Configure Fences . Dialog box of the software set out, here allows you to create several groups set up displays on the desktop.

 

At Section Fences (from the left menu), allows users to set the position of the icons on the desktop group.Section Choose Layout allows users to move the group is located on a corner icon screen left or right split second ... 

 

Based on this, you can arrange the icons so that groups like that. Click Apply Layout Change to set the value.

 

At Section Appreance allows you to set how the display of the group, which allows you to choose to name the group always appears at the top ( Always ), or only appear when you hover over the group ( On mouseover ) or group name will not be shown ( Never ).

 Here you can also change the color settings of the display on the desktop group.

 

 

Especially Fences offers a fairly unique feature, that lets you hide all the icons on the desktop (including symbol groups are) by double click on any empty place on desktop. To display a list of symbols (icons and groups), you simply double-click a location on the desktop of any other.

In case of want to put icons on the desktop back to its original state, simply remove Fences as a normal software from the system.
